Our First Activity - Got Fandom?

icontalkingBy popular request, there are going to be icon challenges in this community. Since I don't like the word "battle", and there is really nothing competitive about them, I'm going to call them "activities".
These activities will work like this:
* I make a post with all the information you need
* You have three weeks to make icons and post them in a comment to the information post (not screened)
* I collect all the icons (and whatever you have to say about them) from the comments and make a result post
* There is no voting
* Everyone can leave comments on the inspiration and activity summary posts
My current plan is to run one such activity per month, but we'll see how it goes and if you even like what I come up with.
But now, on to our first activity! What better way to get to know each other than by showing each other what fandoms we like:
For this activity, you should make five icons. You have until May 20th (end of day) to submit your icons as comments to this post.
1 - First Love
Icon your first fandom! This can be any fandom that you remember as a "first" - the first one you ever saw, or the first one you ever got fannish about, the first one you ever iconned, or the one that first connected you with other fans.

2 - Current Obsession
Icon the fandom that currently excites you most! It doesn't have to be a current fandom in that it has to be new or currently airing. It just has to be the fandom you want to icon most right now!

3 - Biggest Fandom
Icon the fandom that for you was the biggest fandom. We all know those popular fandoms everyone is iconning, there are thousands of fics, and even years later, activity is still high. If you have never been part of one of those huge fandoms, it can be the one you made the most icons of in your life, or the one for which you know the most fans.

4 - Tiny Fandom
Icon the fandom that you feel like nobody has seen but more people should have! Make an icon that makes us want to watch it! Show us what we missed.

5 - True Love
Icon the fandom that has stuck with you the longest. The one you will love forever, no matter what canon throws (or threw) at you. If you have no such fandom - because all fandoms inevitably dissappoint you ;) - you can choose to interpret this "love" theme to be about a favorite couple instead: icon a pairing you love.

Some notes:
* It is okay to enter fewer than five icons (but the final results post will look nicer if every slot is filled :)).
* Please submit your icons (icons and URLs) to this post, all in one comment (if possible).
* You don't have to icon five different fandoms. If your first fandom happens to be a tiny fandom and your true love, no problem!
* Everyone can participate, you don't have to be a member of this community.
* For each icon, please add at least the name of the fandom to your comment.
* Feel free to tell us more about what you like about the fandom, or what makes it special for you, in your submission!

2 - Current Obsession: Space Above And Beyond. I used to lurk in this fandom in the late 90s/early 00s, reading all the fic. A couple of years ago realized the show had come out on DVD and rewatched, and got just as obsessed again as first time around LOL

3 - Biggest Fandom: The Mummy & The Mummy Returns. This fandom and the tiny but loyal fandom for actor Oded Fehr who played Ardeth Bay (still propably his most beloved character among most fans) in the two movies are sort of one and the same to me - it/they were my main fandom for more than a decade. I love all the characters on the movies, but Ardeth is my favorite. Was biggest for me in the sense I produced most stuff for them, and also it being the most active and friendly corner of fandom I've ever been part of.

4 - Tiny Fandom: Dark Skies, cult tv series from 1996 about the insidious invasion of Earth by aliens. I still love it as much as ever, even if the tiny, tiny fandom there was died out by 2001. Loved to make some icons when the DVDs finally came out some years ago. This is the tiniest fandom in every way I've ever been in - there's only been like 10 pieces of fanfic and I think I'm the only one who's ever done any icons or other graphics...

I've never seen Italian caps of it at least not more than a handful of the entire series, but could very well be - I remembered when you mentioned that for a while there still was an active Italian fandom after the English fandom died off. Unfortunately I don't speak Italian so I just visited the Italian fansite to see their stuff. I don't remember if they made graphics or anything, just that there was a gorgeous mural painted somewhere on a wall in a town in Italy. I think it was about the episode Both Sides Now, maybe?
Until recently I had a Dark Skies fansite at topreyindarkness.net but after so many hosting issues I and it having very little traffic I decided not to do it anymore. Yeah, screencaps were hard to come by - I capped it from VHS back in late 90s/early 00s but quality was bad because of hard coded subtitles and the show being so visually dark. Couple of years ago when it came out on DVD I capped all the eps - I'll propably upload those at some point to my general gallery because it feels like something is missing if I don't. Just like The Mummy - I had a Mummy site too, did away with it earlier this year but just had to re-upload The Mummy and The Mummy Returns Bluray caps just because I can't imagine not having them up LOL
